The crys of Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi, seemed to never faint as Joseph Hachem pushed through over 5000 players to win the 2005 WSOP Main Event and mtake down a mighty healthy 7,500,000 for his troubles. He beat out Steve Danneman, a man who professed to rate about 7 out of 10 in his home game and who wrangled half his buy in off a buddy, he said from the start that he felt he had an advantage on the field cause he was here to have fun, and thats just what Steve did, netting himself a tidy $1,875,000, thats considering he had to chuck his proud friend half of the 3.75 Million 2nd prize, nice little 5g investment.

The crowd was a flock with superstars many of them falling early, amongst them Daniel Negreneau who failed to ride the field, taking some nasty beats at the hand of Sammy Farha. Sammy a man who busted Actor and dare we say past poker player Oliver Hudson, when Hudsons pockets 10s made 10s full on the flop, little did he know that when he checked it down he was only setting a trap for himself, as Sammy was hold a-10 and made aces full, they proceeded to jostle on the turn when a harmless queen popped off, and Hudson through no fault of his own gave all his chips away, the very first hand of the day, and a painful ride home for the famous American actor, ah well he can afford it, but then so can Sammy so guess theres no ease there...
